This is a taste of Mixify's AI recipe engine. Pick a spirit and a flavour profile, and the generator will suggest a cocktail concept — name, ingredients, and serving style — just like the real app does.
Designed for discovery, not just lookup.
Mixify is meant for the moments when a standard recipe database stops being enough. Instead of only listing known cocktails, it helps home bartenders, catering teams, and curious guests create something that fits the moment, whether that means building around available ingredients or matching a specific vibe for an event. That mix of utility and novelty is what made the product feel more alive than a simple browse-and-save app.
The app itself was built in Flutter with Dart handling the business logic, which made it possible to move quickly on a polished cross-platform interface while keeping the codebase manageable. The AI layer sits on top of that foundation to generate dynamic drink ideas, while the rest of the experience supports browsing, curation, and repeatability. It was also a genuinely collaborative build, with Bellorocks and me splitting product and implementation decisions as the concept matured.
A big part of the design philosophy was making cocktails feel tactile and premium on a phone. That meant generous spacing, clear visual hierarchy, and interactions that feel a little closer to flipping through a high-end menu than scrolling a utilitarian database. The UI tries to make experimenting with drinks feel playful without sacrificing clarity.
